Chery announces price and spec for incoming Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid

Chery New Zealand is thrilled to confirm that its local line-up will grow with the arrival of the Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid in November 2025. Sitting at the top of the Tiggo SUV range, this flagship seven-seater is priced from $66,990 MSRP and delivers levels of luxury typically found in vehicles carrying far higher price tags.

Hands free parking

A first for the Tiggo family, the Tiggo 9 debuts advanced auto parking technology, enabling effortless, precise parallel and perpendicular parking every time.

Inside, the cabin is impressively appointed with a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, complemented by a panoramic sunroof, front massaging seats, and a 14-speaker Sony audio system with dual headrest speakers. Additional highlights include a 50W wireless charging pad and the intuitive “Hello Chery” integrated voice command system.

Colour options available

There are four colour options to complement the SUV’s elegant design, which includes Aurora Green, Star White, Technical Grey and Cosmic Black

Hybrid fuel efficiency

Beneath the surface, the Tiggo 9 is powered by Chery’s advanced Super Hybrid technology, combining a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors at the front and a single motor at the rear. Together, this system delivers a total output of 315kW and 580Nm, enabling the SUV to travel up to 1,250km on a full tank and charge.

All-wheel drive is achieved through the rear electric motor, while power to the front wheels is managed via Chery’s Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT). The 34kWh lithium-ion battery provides up to 170km (NEDC) of electric-only driving range, giving the Tiggo 9 impressive efficiency for its size and performance.

Tiggo 9 special offer

The Tiggo 9 will be backed by Chery’s 7-year unlimited km warranty, and 8-year unlimited kilometre battery warranty. There’s also up to 7 years of roadside assistance.

Where to buy the Tiggo 9?

Tiggo 9 will be available at the 4 Ingham Chery Dealerships, but from today, you can register your interest as stock may be limited on arrival.
