The Honda Civic Type R wins NZ Car of the Year 2023 – Sports and Performance!

Honda New Zealand is in celebration mode after its legendary Civic Type R roared to victory at the 2023 AA DRIVEN Car Guide NZ awards.

The Type R – which recently smashed racetrack records in Germany and Japan – has cemented its iconic status with a Best in Class for Sports & Performance, as well as making it into the Top 3 overall for 2023.

The unstoppable Type R also won Performance Car of the Year in the 2023 TopGear.com Awards – “This is a car that can perform on your favourite back road any day of the week, and still put a smile on your face on the occasional weekend track day…”.
