Two new car dealerships for Cambridge promise to be a game-changer

Ingham Motor Group, one of New Zealand’s largest family-owned automotive groups, says that after 18 months of planning, design and submissions, resource consent has been granted to build two new motor vehicle dealerships right in the heart of Cambridge on possibly the highest profile site in the town.

Ingham Motor Group is delighted to share some exciting news with the Cambridge community and has announced it will soon begin construction on two new motor vehicle dealerships, which will open in early 2025.

Set to transform the current automotive landscape in the township, Ingham Motor Group has recently been granted resource consent to establish two new dealerships – housing four outstanding vehicle brands – in a prime Cambridge location, the former site of the Bunnings warehouse.

Cambridge locals will soon be able to take advantage of a significantly expanded range of motoring options, eliminating the need to travel elsewhere to purchase a new vehicle or utilise franchise-based servicing facilities. The ever-popular Mitsubishi brand has been confirmed as one of the franchises, with details of the other three marques to follow shortly.

As one of the largest family-owned automotive companies in New Zealand, Ingham Motor Group has built a legacy in the Waikato area dating back to the late 1960s. Originally hailing from Otorohanga, this third-generation business is regarded as a mainstay of the motoring industry and presently operates multiple successful dealerships across the North Island. As such, their experience, local expertise and reputation for delivering exceptional service and quality combine to ensure they are perfectly placed to open this new motor dealership complex.

After 18 months of planning, designing and submissions, construction on these two dealerships is scheduled to commence in early 2024, with completion in early 2025.
