Ingham Hamilton Introduces Chery as the New Driving Force Behind the Chiefs
Ingham Hamilton is entering an exciting new phase in its long-standing partnership with the Chiefs Rugby Club, announcing that Chery has joined as the official vehicle partner for the 2026 season. The introduction of Chery follows a period of strong growth for Ingham Hamilton and adds another forward-looking brand to its expanding line up.
As part of the partnership, the Chiefs organisation will operate a fleet of Chery Super Hybrid vehicles. Known globally for impressive fuel efficiency and low emissions, these vehicles support the club as they continue to look for practical ways to reduce their environmental impact across the region.
Now entering its third year supporting the Chiefs, Ingham Hamilton says the move to Chery highlights a shared focus on progress, innovation and performance.
Matthew Salmon, Dealer Principal at Ingham Hamilton, says, “Chery is an exciting and fast growing brand in New Zealand and our team is proud to introduce its Super Hybrid technology to the Chiefs. We value our partnership with the organisation and it is great to support their day to day operational needs with vehicles that are modern, efficient and well suited to the travel demands of a professional club.”
Chiefs Rugby Club CEO, Simon Graafhuis, says, “We have enjoyed a strong relationship with the Ingham team and it is great to continue that partnership with Chery now part of their brand portfolio. Reliable and economical hybrid vehicles are a practical way for us to support our operations while reducing fuel usage across the region.”
The 2025 season saw the Chiefs secure their third consecutive grand final appearance, reinforcing a strong run of form for the club. With the backing of Chery and Ingham Hamilton, both organisations are looking forward to continuing that momentum into the 2026 season.
