Introducing the All-New Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid: Efficiency Meets Luxury
Are you ready for an exciting addition to the New Zealand automobile scene? Suzuki New Zealand is thrilled to announce the arrival of the Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid, set to make a significant impact on the market. Let’s delve into what makes this crossover SUV a game-changer.
Efficiency Unleashed: Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid Vehicle System
The Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid takes eco-friendliness and performance to the next level. With its introduction of the Suzuki Smart Hybrid Vehicle system (SHVS), it has become more economical and environmentally conscious than ever before. Compared to its turbocharged predecessors, the S-Cross Hybrid boasts up to 16.7% better fuel efficiency and up to 19% fewer emissions. In fact, its emissions are lower than even the slightly smaller Vitara Hybrid.
In the fuel consumption department, the S-Cross Hybrid is a true standout. It averages 5.5 liters/100km for the two-wheel-drive model and 5.9 liters/100km for the Allgrip model, representing significant improvements over the previous non-hybrid version.
The mild Hybrid system combines a 48V Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) with a 1.4-liter Boosterjet turbocharged engine, enhancing fuel efficiency and power. Plus, it charges a 10 Ah lithium-ion battery during deceleration, which also powers various electrical systems, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride.
Power and Performance
Under the hood, the S-Cross Hybrid features a 95 kW 1,373 cm3 K14D Boosterjet Turbo engine that delivers a strong power spread, especially at lower rev ranges. It produces 235 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm, a remarkable 6.8% increase compared to the standard 1.4 Boosterjet model.
Moreover, towing capacity has been improved, allowing for a maximum braked trailer weight of 1,500 kg. The vehicle’s electrically operated rack and pinion steering, along with ventilated front disc brakes, make for a smoother and more responsive driving experience.
A Technological Marvel
The Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid doesn’t just excel in performance; it’s also loaded with cutting-edge technology. The 17-inch polished face alloy wheels are complemented by a host of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, and LED lighting. A 360-degree camera system provides bird’s eye vision, while a 9-inch infotainment screen offers valuable information on fuel consumption, Hybrid energy flow, navigation, and smartphone connectivity.
Safety takes center stage, with lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring. The adaptive cruise control ensures a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and the vehicle is equipped with Suzuki’s dual sensor brake support (DSBS) for added protection.
Stylish and Practical Design
Suzuki’s S-Cross Hybrid stands out with its distinctive design, featuring a piano black front grille, wheel arch extensions, and a silver roof rack. The high bonnet and rear deck visually raise the car’s center of gravity, providing a bold and commanding presence on the road.
The Ultimate Package
The Suzuki S-Cross Hybrid is more than just a vehicle; it’s a comprehensive package for those seeking efficiency, luxury, and style. With a recommended retail price starting at $42,990 for the 2WD model and $45,990 for the AWD model, the S-Cross comes with a three-year/100,000 km new vehicle warranty, a two-year powertrain warranty extension, and Suzuki’s five-year roadside assistance program.
The S-Cross Hybrid is here to redefine your driving experience, making a strong statement with its efficiency, performance, and advanced features. Don’t miss the chance to own a true game-changer in the New Zealand automotive market.
