Nissan reveals all-electric Hyper Urban concept vehicle in the lead-up to the Japan Mobility Show

Introducing the first in a series of exciting EV concepts, aimed at meeting diverse aspirations.

Nissan has unveiled its first all-electric concept vehicle, the Nissan Hyper Urban, in anticipation of the Japan Mobility Show happening later this month. This concept vehicle is the initial entry in a series of innovative electric concepts designed to cater to diverse lifestyles and aspirations. Nissan is aiming to offer environmentally conscious customers a stylish and fun electric vehicle option without compromising on functionality.

The Nissan Hyper Urban, digitally showcased at Nissan’s new design presentation hall, is specifically targeted at urban and suburban professionals who prioritise sustainability. Its sleek and modern design complements the preferences of these users while also integrating seamlessly into their surroundings. Notably, the vehicle features V2H and V2G functions, allowing it to power homes, contribute surplus power to the grid, and efficiently manage energy consumption through an Intelligent Charging Management System.

Furthermore, Nissan emphasises the longevity of the Hyper Urban, with hardware and software updates to provide a fresh ownership experience over the years. The exterior design showcases futuristic capabilities with a dynamic lime yellow body that changes appearance depending on lighting conditions and scissor doors adding character and aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside, the vehicle’s interior design is inspired by kaleidoscopic triangles and offers customisation options to suit the owner’s mood. The front seats can be transformed into a private, sofa-like space, integrating relaxation and utility. This concept vehicle represents Nissan’s commitment to revolutionising the electric vehicle landscape and enriching people’s lives through innovative products and technologies.

Additional announcements about the concept series will be revealed over the coming month. As a concept vehicle, no availability date has currently been released for New Zealand.
