The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV: A Masterpiece of Innovation and Luxury
27 June, 2023
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 has just arrived on New Zealand shores and this mid-sized luxury SUV is already making waves.
As one of the most highly-rated and respected models in the Mercedes-Benz fleet, the original GLC was renowned for superior comfort and refinement. So it’s no surprise that the latest GLC iteration not only enhances those traits but includes a host of new features and upgrades as standard, making it one of the most eagerly anticipated launches in the market.
We’ve asked our General Sales Manager, Michael Collins, to outline the highlights of the fully redesigned GLC 300 4MATIC SUV and share his thoughts on why it’s such an outstanding vehicle.
“As you would expect from Mercedes-Benz, the all-new GLC is a spacious and versatile luxury SUV that offers an elegant interior, urban sport styling and a dynamic driving experience.
“The turbocharged two-litre four-cylinder engine provides greater torque than its predecessor thanks in part to the powertrain’s new mild hybrid system. This 48-volt electric motor seamlessly integrates with the engine to improve responsiveness and help boost fuel economy.
“The exterior design of the GLC has also been optimised and has seen a 60mm increase in length, which accommodates a further 50 litres of boot capacity with accompanying space gains for rear passengers. The refreshed exterior equipment boasts a 360° camera to make parking a breeze, along with an innovative ‘transparent bonnet’ that creates a virtual view of the area underneath the vehicle, meaning obstacles such as large stones or deep potholes can easily be avoided.
“Plus, the GLC now enjoys even higher levels of standard specification, so there’s no need to option multiple packages. This includes the previously optional AMG Sports package, Mercedes-Benz’s Head-up display, exceptional wireless integrations of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and Level 2 Autonomous Driving features that provide tangible comfort and safety benefits.
“However, for those looking for the ultimate in luxury and high-tech driving, there is the opportunity to upgrade the ‘Plus Package’ which includes DIGITAL LIGHT headlamp technology, Burmester® 3D Surround Sound System and GUARD 360° Vehicle Protection Plus.
“The high-quality materials, impressive driving dynamics and fully digitalised cockpit combine to make the all-new GLC 300 4MATIC a vehicle that stands out in its class. If you’d like to experience this remarkable second-generation SUV for yourself and truly see what makes it so special, then call us on T: 0800 267 253 to arrange a test drive or visit our showroom today.
“We look forward to seeing you.”
