Omoda Jaecoo hits the court with BNZ Breakers partnership

Omoda Jaecoo is strengthening its presence in New Zealand through a new partnership with the BNZ Breakers, becoming the basketball club’s official vehicle partner for the NBL27 season.
The partnership will see Omoda Jaecoo provide the Breakers with a fleet of 12 New Energy Vehicles, including the Jaecoo J5 EV, new J5 SHS-H (HEV) and J7 SHS-P (PHEV).

The BNZ Breakers have built a strong record over their 23-year history, winning four NBL championships in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015. Their run of three consecutive titles also made them only the second team in NBL history to achieve a three-peat. The partnership provides Omoda Jaecoo with new opportunities to connect with New Zealand communities while aligning the brand with one of the country’s best-known professional sporting teams.
BNZ Breakers CEO, Troy Georgiu, confirmed the relationship extended beyond the vehicles themselves, pointing to shared values between the two organisations.

The partnership arrives as the Breakers begin their 2026-27 campaign, which opened with a 91-81 victory over the Illawarra Hawks at Spark Arena on 20 September.
For Omoda Jaecoo, it marks another high-profile connection with New Zealand sport, with the brand’s vehicles set to become a familiar sight alongside the Breakers throughout NBL27.
