Meet the New Mitsubishi Outlander Sport HEV

An exciting new chapter for Mitsubishi is about to begin, with the all-new Outlander Sport HEV arriving in New Zealand this December. The Outlander Sport is Mitsubishi New Zealand’s first full hybrid (HEV), bringing together impressive fuel efficiency, smart technology, distinctive styling and everyday SUV practicality.

Even better, Kiwi drivers will be able to get behind the wheel from an introductory price of just $39,990 for the Outlander Sport XLS 2WD for a limited time.

Two Models to Choose From:

The new Outlander Sport range will launch in New Zealand with two well-equipped models:

• Outlander Sport XLS 2WD – introductory price $39,990*
• Outlander Sport VRX – $46,990*

The arrival of Outlander Sport marks the beginning of an exciting period for Mitsubishi in New Zealand. It will be joined by the new ASX VR-e and Pajero before Christmas, giving Kiwi motorists three very different new Mitsubishi choices within a matter of weeks.

Mitsubishi’s New Generation Hybrid Technology

At the heart of Outlander Sport is Mitsubishi’s Generation 2 HEV powertrain, combining a 1.6-litre petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor.

There’s no need to plug the vehicle in. The hybrid system automatically determines the most efficient combination of petrol and electric power depending on driving conditions and the battery’s state of charge. Regenerative braking also helps recharge the battery as you drive.

The result is excellent efficiency across the range, with combined fuel consumption of 4.0L/100km and CO₂ emissions of 95g/km (WLTP). Drivers can also choose from seven selectable drive modes: Normal, Tarmac, Wet, Gravel, Mud, EV Priority and Charge.

Charge mode allows the petrol engine to charge the battery while driving, while the different terrain modes help tailor the vehicle to a variety of road and driving conditions.

Make It Your Own

Outlander Sport will be offered in six exterior colours:

Rose Red, Volt Yellow, Graphite Grey, Aspiring White, Blade Silver and Pitch Black. For an even more distinctive appearance, five contrasting black-roof colour combinations will also be available with the VRX.
