The all-new GWM Haval H7 has arrived in New Zealand, and it’s already attracting attention from local motoring journalists. With its bold, rugged styling, powerful hybrid technology and impressive list of features, this latest addition to the Haval range is making a strong first impression.
Available in Hybrid (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variants, the H7 combines everyday SUV practicality with genuine all-wheel-drive capability. The Vanta models are available now, with pricing starting from $55,990 plus on-road costs, while the Lux Hybrid 2WD is expected to arrive in December, priced from $49,990 plus on-road costs.

Their verdict was that the H7 offers an appealing combination of technology, space and off-road equipment for the money, making it an interesting alternative to conventional medium SUVs.

DRIVEN Car Guide’s Damien O’Carroll praised the H7’s distinctive styling, high-quality interior and refined hybrid powertrains.
The Plug-in Hybrid particularly impressed, producing 320kW and 670Nm, with a claimed 0 to 100km/h time of just 4.9 seconds. O’Carroll identified the Vanta PHEV as his pick of the range, highlighting its strong performance, generous equipment and family-friendly space.
