Chery announces price for incoming Tiggo 7 and 8 petrol models

Chery is set to expand its New Zealand SUV line-up with the arrival of petrol versions of the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8, joining the brand’s existing Super Hybrid models. The move adds more flexibility for customers who want Chery’s design, safety technology and interior space, with the option of a traditional petrol powertrain.

The upcoming petrol variants are expected to arrive in New Zealand shortly, giving buyers more choice across price points and driving preferences. While the Super Hybrid range continues to suit drivers focused on electrification, the petrol Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 models will appeal to those looking for a straightforward, accessible SUV without the need to change how they drive or refuel.

Pricing for the petrol models has now been confirmed. The Tiggo 7 Urban will be available from $33,990 driveaway plus ORC, with the Tiggo 7 Ultimate priced from $38,990 driveaway plus ORC. The Tiggo 8 Urban will start from $39,990 driveaway plus ORC, while the Tiggo 8 Ultimate will be priced from $44,990 driveaway plus ORC.

With petrol and Super Hybrid options available across both models, Chery continues to broaden its offering in New Zealand, giving customers the freedom to choose the powertrain and specification that best fits their needs.

Where to buy the Tiggo Petrol models?

Tiggo 7 and 8 Petrol models will be available at the 4 Ingham Chery Dealerships, but from today, you can register your interest as stock may be limited on arrival.
